Search Engines Working for You
|
| |
Since Search Engines began offering sponsored listings (pay per click ads), the number of Search Engines doing so has grown. Google and Overture/Yahoo, by far the most productive, have the majority of searches, each with their own partner sites (shown below) where your ads will also appear on search results. There are also many less known pay per click search engines we have worked with, each with their own smaller partner sites.
While the smaller sites offer lower cost per click bids, experience has shown that the Search Engine's monitoring of these smaller partner sites for fraudulent clicks is not always accomplished and results not nearly as effective as with Google and Overture for most products or services. A good working knowledge of these smaller sites is important if they are to be used. On Overture, you ads will appear on Yahoo searches, as well as others shown below. With Google, when searches are made on AOL, your ads will appear (as well as on other partner sites). The position on partner sites might vary, because some are partners to several different search engines. The following list is an example showing some of these partners:
- Overture.com is now owned by Yahoo.com. Some of Overture/Yahoo partners are:
- Lycos, MSN, Alta Vista, Infospace, United, Cnet and more.
- Some Google.com partner sites are:
- AOL, Earthlink, Lycos and more.
- Smaller search egines include: FindWhat.com, Kanoodle.com, GoClick.com, Findit-quick.com, ePilot.com, and numerous others.
- Partner sites include dogpile, trafficboss, mamma, engine.54, page seeker, and Genieknows.com, Turbofind among others.

Automated Bidding vs Personal?
|
| |
Some of the search engines offer automated pay per click service for their advertisers.
This "Service" Can Be Expensive! Search engines providing automated management services might work for you; however, the most important consideration is knowing that each keyword has a different value to your business in attracting customers who will buy your product or service. Automated systems cannot discern these differences, and generally the automated bidding systems can cost your more money. Our service, PayPerClick4U.com will analyze, enter, and monitor keywords manually in order to maximize results for your specific business needs. Often a change in strategy is required, and frequently made. Let me share a direct quote from a representative of one of the major search engines on the subject: "Yes, we do offer forms of account management. It is capable of doing a lot of things but in no way can it measure up to a personal bid manager."
